what is POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGY?
Positive Psychology is the new era of science and psychological studies.
It is the scientific study of what makes life fulfilling.
Positive Psychology uses the power of science to understand the human experience and what important factors we need to have to reach a state of flourishing.
Flourishing is the ultimate state.
Traditionally, we have searched for happiness. As a society we believed that the ultimate goal was to feel happy everyday. The feeling of being in a positive emotion matters, but it is only one element of many that makes us feel satisfied with our lives.
Science has shown that we also need to have meaning in our lives, purposeful work, deeply connected relationships, accomplishing goals regularly and developing our own individual strengths.
Flourishing is a state where we are fulfilled in the multi-dimensional areas of our lives.
By using Positive Psychology we can build strong foundations in our lives and develop a tool kit that enables us to have lives that are deeply fulfilling.
